Correct Answer - Option 2 : 22.5

Initial quantity of mixture = 45 + 225 = 270 litres

Initial ratio of milk and water = 225 : 45 = 5 : 1

6 units = 45 litres

1 unit = 7.5

5 units = 37.5

Milk left = 225 – 37.5 = 187.5 litres

Ratio of milk and water added = 3 : 5

According to the question,

5 units = (20/100) × 187.5 = 37.5

1 unit = 7.5

3 units = 22.5 litres

Milk added is 22.5 litres
