Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 2 : 60%

Quantity of 1st vessel = 6 litres

According to the question,

In the first vessel is contains 20% of the milk

Ratio of milk and water in the first vessel = 1 : 5

6 units = 6 litres

1 unit = 1 lites

Quantity of milk in the first vessel = 1 litre

Quantity of water in the first vessel = 5 litres

2nd vessel contain 33.33%% of water

Ratio of milk and water in the second vessel = 3 : 1

4 units = 12 litres

1 unit = 3 litre

3 units = 9 litres

Quantity of milk in the second vessel = 9 litre

Quantity of water in the second vessel = 3 litres

Now,

Total quantity is mixed in the third vessel of 20 litres and the remaining is filled with milk

Quantity of water filled with first and second vessel in the third vessel = 5 litres + 3 litres = 8 litres

Quantity of milk filled with first and second vessel in the third vessel = 1 litre + 9 litres = 10 litres

Remaining quantity = 20 litres – 18 litres = 2 litres

2 litres is filled with milk

Total quantity of milk in the vessel = 10 litres + 2 litres = 12 litres

Percentage of milk in the vessel = (12/20) × 100 = 60%
