Correct Answer - Option 3 : Angle of internal friction of soil only

Terzaghi’s bearing capacity factors - Nc, Nq, Nγ depend on the angle of internal friction only and are dimensionless.

\({N_q} = \left[ {\frac{{{a^2}}}{{2{{\cos }^2}\left( {45 + \frac{\phi }{2}} \right)}}} \right]\)

Here \(a = {e^{\left( {\frac{{3\pi }}{4} - \frac{\phi }{2}} \right)\tan \phi }}\)

Nc = (Nq - 1) cot ϕ

\({N_\gamma } = \frac{1}{2}\left[ {\frac{{{K_p}}}{{{{\cos }^2}\phi }} - 1} \right]\tan \phi \)

Here \({K_p} = \frac{{1 + \sin \phi }}{{1 - \sin \phi }}\)
