Correct Answer - Option 4 : 1 minute 12 seconds

The time taken by bike to meet the bicycle = the time taken by bicycle to meet the bike = 18 seconds

The speed of the bike = 10 m/s

The distance covered by the bike = 18 × 10 = 180 m

So, the distance covered by the bicycle = 288 – 180 = 108 m

The speed of the bicycle = 108/18 = 6 m/s

Let the distance covered by the bicycle, while being chased = x m

So, the distance covered by the bike, while chasing the bicycle = (288 + x) m

(288 + x)/10 = x/6

864 + 3x = 5x

x = 432 m

Required time = (288 + 432)/10 = 72 seconds
