Correct Answer - Option 3 : 10 kW

Concept:

C.O.P \(\frac{{{T_L}}}{{{T_H} - {T_L}}} = \frac{{Referigerant\;effect\;\left( {cooling\;load} \right)}}{{Power\;input}}\)

Calculation:

Given, TL = -3°C = 273 – 3 = 270 K, TH = 27°C = 273 + 27 = 300 K, Cooling Load = 90 kW

\(\frac{{{T_L}}}{{{T_H} - {T_L}}} = \frac{{Referigerant\;effect\;\left( {cooling\;load} \right)}}{{Power\;input}}\)

\(\Rightarrow\frac{{270}}{{300 - 270}} = \frac{{90}}{{{P_{in}}}}\)

\({P_{in}} = 10\;kW\)
