A15 to A12 are used to select a 4096-word memory unit.

A0 to A11 are used to address a particular word.

A0 to A2 are short circuited

⇒ A0 = A1 = A2 = 0.

Now, to represent an address we have any A3 to A11, i.e. total 9 address lines.

The number of words addressable = 29 = 512.
