Correct Answer - Option 2 :

Both A and R are true but R is NOT the correct explanation of A

Though both A and R are true but R is not the correct explanation of A. Both phenomenon take place due to gravitational pull by a massive body. Earth revolves around sun attracted by its gravity and a ball always falls down attracted by Earth’s gravity. R is just an effect of gravitational pull and appears vague in explaining A. Thus, option 2 is correct.
