Hence, True measurement =  \(\frac{{{\rm{incorrect\;length\;of\;chain}} \times {\rm{incorrect\;measurement}}}}{{{\rm{true\;measurement}}}} = \;\frac{{29.9 \times 300}}{{30}} = 299\)
