Correct Answer - Option 1 : Primary > Secondary > Tertiary

Explanation:

Baseline:

  • The longest survey line passing through the center of the area to be surveyed is called a baseline.

Triangulation technique:

  • Triangulation is a surveying method that measures the angles in a triangle formed by three survey control points. Using trigonometry and the measured length of just one side, the other distances in the triangle are calculated.
  • For applying the triangulation system, certain parameters will be assumed and the length of the baseline is one among them.
  • It is assumed as 5 - 15 km in primary, 1.5 - 5 km in secondary, 0.5 - 3 km in tertiary triangulation system.
