Correct Answer - Option 3 : 31

Given:

Sneha's average marks in 16 exams = 25

Priyal's average marks in 12 exams = 23

Formula used:

Average marks in n exams = Sum of the marks/n

Calculation:

As per the question;

Sneha's average marks in 16 exams = Priyal's average marks in 16 exams

⇒ 25 = 23 + Average marks in 4 exams

Sum of Sneha's marks in 16 exams = 25 × 16 = 400

Sum of Priyal's marks in 12 exams = 23 × 12 = 276

Sum of Priyal's marks in remaining 4 exams in order to match with Sneha's performance = 400 - 276

⇒ 124

∴ Average marks of Priyal in remaining 4 exams = 124/4

⇒ 31
