Correct Answer - Option 3 : 30

Given:

Speed of cycling = 10 km/hr

Speed of walking = 3 km/hr

Total time taken to cover 45 km = 8 hours

Concept used:

Distance = Speed × Time

Calculation:

Let the time for which Ramakant do cycling be x hr

Time for which Ramakant do walking = (8 - x) hr

According to the question,

⇒ 10 × x + 3 × (8 - x) = 45

⇒ 10x + 24 - 3x = 45

⇒ 7x = 21

⇒ x = 3 hr

Distance covered by cycle = (10 × 3) km/hr

⇒ 30 km/hr

∴ Required distance covered by cycle is 30
