Rao Gopal Singh Kharwa:

  • He was the vassal of Kharwa princely state of Rajasthan. 
  • He had the qualities of courage and fearlessness since childhood. 
  • He was fond of shooting and horse riding. 
  • He was a popular and anti-British ruler, due to which Gopal Singh was kept in the jail of Todgarh fort for four years.
  • After a few days, he escaped from Tadgarh.
  • But were caught in Salemabad and kept in prison in Ajmer's Tihar Jail
  • After being released from jail in 1920 AD, Rao Gopal Singh Kharwa engaged in constructive work and service of the victims.

    • He was the head/patriarch of the Barhath family, members of which actively participated in anti-British activities including Kunwar Pratap Singh Barhath and Zorawar Singh Barhath.
