It is given that ΔABC ≅  ΔFDE and AB = 5 cm, ∠B = 40° and ∠A = 80° . Which one of the following is true ?

Correct Answer - Option 2 : DF = 5 cm; ∠E = 60°

Given:

ΔABC ≅  ΔFDE

AB = 5 cm, ∠B = 40° and ∠A = 80°

Concept:

The corresponding sides and angles of two congruent triangles are equal.

Calculation:

In ΔABC, ∠C = 180 - 80 - 40 = 60º

⇒ ∠E = 60º

Since, AB = 5 cm 

⇒ FD = 5 cm

∴ DF = 5 cm; ∠E = 60º
