Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 3 : 1.55 gm/cc

Concept:

The fundamental relation between dry density (\({γ _d}\)), bulk density (γ) and water content (ω), is

\({γ _d}={γ\over{1+w}}\)

Calculation:

Given,

γ = 1.769 gm/cc,  w = 13.9%

\({γ _d} = \;\frac{1.769}{{1 + 0.139}}\)

\({γ _d} = \frac{{1.769}}{{1.139}} = 1.55\;gm/cc\)
