The role of a teacher is to promote quality learning among the students. It is the crucial stage of the teaching-learning process where you have to analyze and prepare instructional material for counteractive teaching to ensure the desired quality of learning.

Through sharing stories about sharing is caring, the teacher is trying to develop:

  • Natural resources are not anyone’s property or inheritance.
  • Conflicts and confrontations have resulted in sharing, accessing, or using natural resources for meeting the basic needs, resulting in disharmony in human relations – neighborhood, societies, national and international disparities.
  • The time has come when we have to re-examine our attitude and broaden our perspective and thinking.
  • It needs to be understood that we are an integral and inseparable component of our environment and we co-habit or share it with all other living organisms and develop empathy.
  • Children require to be made understood that the environment does not mean only human beings, but it is a community, and there is a co-operation among the community that includes all living organisms.
  • Human beings are only members of this community, sharing all aspects of the environment with other members and developing a sense of friendship among them.

 

Therefore, as EVS is an integrative subject area with a very broad scope and if the teacher is telling a story about sharing is caring, it will develop a sense of co-operation, empathy, and friendship among them.
