Correct Answer - Option 2 : 8

Given:

Part of liquid in mixture = 1/5

Part of acid in mixture = 2/5

Total quantity of mixture = 20 litres

Calculation:

According to question

Remaining part of water = 1 – (1/5 + 2/5)

⇒ 1 – 3/5

⇒ 2/5

Now,

Mixture contain water = Total quantity of mixture/Remaining part of water

⇒ (20 × 2/5) litres

⇒ 8 litres

∴ Required mixture contain water is 8
