Formula used:

Discount = Marked price –  selling price

Calculation:

Let the marked price be x

⇒ x × (100 – 25/100) × (100 – 38/100) = 372

⇒ x × (75/100) × (62/100) = 372

⇒ x × (3/4) × (31/50) = 372

⇒ x = 800

Now, Marked price = Rs. 800

Then, Discount = Rs. (800 – 372)

⇒ Rs. 428

∴ Total discount is Rs. 428
