Correct Answer - Option 2 : Only conclusion II follows.

The given statement: The National Skill Development Committee conducted an assessment among their trainers and found the performance below mandatory level.

It is clear from the given statement that the existing trainers are not capable enough to train the students in a better way.

Conclusions:

I: The committee should immediately organise remedial courses and training to improve standards. → This would be a long and a time taking process and to train the trainers, the committee will have to hire new trainers. Thus, this conclusion does not follow.

II: The committee should terminate poor performers and hire new trainers. → This would improve the efficiency of the skill development program and more students will get a better future. Terminating the poor performers and hiring new skilled trainers will also save time. Thus, this conclusion follows.

Hence, "only conclusion II follows".
