Correct Answer - Option 4 : O Negative

The correct answer is O Negative.

  • Blood Group
    • It was discovered by Karl Landsteiner in 1901.
    • The plasma membrane of RBCs contains certain Glycoproteinaceous molecules known as antigens which differ in different persons, providing different blood groups.
    • There are 4 main blood groups of human blood which are O, A, B, and AB, which is also called the ABO blood type.
      • Group A – has only the A antigen on red cells (and B antibody in the plasma).
      • Group B – has only the B antigen on red cells (and A antibody in the plasma).
      • Group AB – has both A and B antigens on red cells (but neither A nor B antibody in the plasma).
      • Group O – has neither A nor B antigens on red cells (but both A and B antibodies are in the plasma).
    • People with blood group O Negative are called universal donors and people with blood group AB Positive are called universal receivers.
