Given:

20% of his monthly salary on food

25% of rest on the education

30% of the rest on other expenditure

Amount left = Rs. 6,300

Calculation:

Let the total monthly salary be x

According to the question 

⇒ (x) × (80/100) × (75/100) × (70/100) = 6300

⇒ (x) × (4/5) × (3/4) × (7/10) = 6300

⇒ x = (6300 × 200)/84

⇒ x = Rs. 15,000

∴ The total monthly salary is Rs. 15,000.
