  • Lok Sabha is also known as a lower house or a temporary house.
    • The total strength of the Lok Sabha is 552 members out of which 2 members were nominated to Lok Sabha by President from Anglo Indian Community (persons whose either mother or father or ancestors belongs to Great Britain).
    • In January 2020 The seats reserved for Anglo Indians in Parliament and State Legislatures of India were discontinued by the 126th Constitutional Amendment Bill of 2019 enacted as 104th Constitutional Amendment Act 2019.
    • The tenure of Lok Sabha is 5 years and it can be dissolved by the President of India before the expiration of tenure.
