Correct Answer - Option 2 : 4

Given:

Megha bought chocolates at the rate of 5 per rupee.

Megha wants to make a gain of 10%.

Concepts used:

Gain % = (Gains/C.P.) × 100

Calculation:

Megha bought chocolates at the rate of 5 per rupee.

⇒ C.P. of 5 chocolates = Re. 1

⇒ C.P. of 1 chocolate = Re. 1/5 = Re. 0.2

Gain % = 20

⇒ 10 = {(S.P. – 0.2)/0.2} × 100

⇒ S.P. of 1 chocolate = Re. 0.22

⇒ Number of chocolates for Re. 0.22 = 1

⇒ Number of chocolates sold for Re. 1 = 1/0.22 = 4 approx.

Megha must sell 4 chocolates per rupee to make gain of 10%.
