Converting the binary number to decimal number

⇒ Decimal number = 1 x 27 + 0 x 26 + 1 x 25 + 0 x 24 + 1 x 23 + 1 x 22 + 0 x 21 + 0 x 20 

⇒ 1 x 128 + 0 x 64 + 1 x 32 + 0 x 16 + 1 x 8 + 1 x 4 + 0 x 2 + 0 x 1

⇒ 128 + 0 + 32 + 0 + 8 + 4 + 0 + 0

⇒ 172

∴ The 172 is the decimal equivalent of the binary number 10101100.
