Correct Answer - Option 2 : 34500

Given:

The population of village A = 22% of the total population of city X

The population of village B = 24% of the total population of city X

The population of village C = (1/8)th of the total population of city X

The population of village D = 56% of the total population of village C

The population of village E = 80% of the population of village B

The population of village F = 45900

The population of village F = 15.3% of the total population of city X.

Calculation:

The total population of city X = 45900/(15.3%)

⇒ 45900 × (100/15.3)

⇒ 300000

Now let the total population of city X be 100%.

According to the question,

The population of village B = 24%

The population of village C = (1/8) × 100%

⇒ 12.5%

The population of village D = 56% of 12.5%

⇒ 7%

Now the total population of village C and D together = (12.5 + 7)%

⇒ 19.5%

And the total population of village B and D together = (24 + 7)%

⇒ 31%

The required difference = (31 - 19.5)%

⇒ 11.5%

∵ 100% = 300000

then 11.5% = 34500

∴ The difference between the total population of village B and D together and village C and D together will be 34500.
