Correct Answer - Option 3 : 12 cm

GIVEN:

The sides of a triangle = x + 3, 2x + 2, 2x

The perimeter of triangle = 28 cm

CONCEPT USED:

The perimeter of a triangle is sum of length of sides of triangle

CALCULATIONS:

Perimeter of triangle = x + 3 + 2x + 2 + 2x

⇒ 30 = 5x + 5

⇒ 30 - 5 = 5x

⇒ x = 25 ÷ 5

⇒ x = 5

The side of the triangle are  x + 3, 2x + 2, 2x = 8, 12, 10

The longest side = 12 cm

∴ the longest side of the trinagle is 12 cm
