Correct Answer - Option 2 : 19√3 cm

Given:

Volume of the cube = 6859 cm3

Concept used:

Volume of the cube = (side)3

Diagonal of a cube = √3 × (side)

Calculation:

Volume of the cube = (side)3

⇒ 6859 = (side)3

⇒ (19)3 = (side)3

⇒ 19 cm = side

Diagonal of the cube = √3 × 19

⇒ 19√3 cm

∴ The length of the longest rod is 19√3 cm.

A cube has 6 surfaces, 12 edges, 8 corners, and 4 diagonals.

Total surface area of a cube = 6 × (side)2

Lateral surface area 'or' area of four walls = 4 × (side)2
