Correct Answer - Option 2 : 28

According to the given information,

The number of people present is n = 8.

The number of handshakes exchanged is,

n(n - 1) ÷ 2

= 8(8 - 1) ÷ 2

= 8(7) ÷ 2

= 8 × 7 ÷ 2

= 15 × 3.5

= 28

Here, number of handshakes exchanged is 28.

Hence, the correct answer is "28"

To find the number of solutions of two consecutive integers we can use the formula n(n - 1) ÷ 2, where n is an integer.
