Correct Answer - Option 3 : 4

Given:

HCF = 24

Sum of two number = 480

Concept used:

If the number is 24a and 24b, then a and b will be prime number

Calculation:

Let the number be 24a and 24b

24a + 24b = 480

⇒ 24(a + b) = 480

⇒ a + b = 20

Now, the required possible pair of values of a and b which are common numbers to each other are (1, 19), (3, 17), (7, 13), (9, 11)

∴ There will be 4 possible pairs.
