Calculation: 

Let the present age of Suma is 5x years and Vanaja is 7x years

According to the question, 

The age of Suma after 8 years is 

⇒ 5x + 8 = 28

⇒ 5x = 28 - 8

⇒ 5x = 20

⇒ x = 20/5

⇒ x = 4

So, 

The present of Vanaja is 

⇒ 7 × 4

⇒ 28 years 

∴ The present age of Bala is 28 years.
