Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 1 : 55 cm

Given:

The height of the triangle is 42 cm

The area is 1155 cm2

Formula used:

Area of the triangle = (1/2) × b × h

where, b is base and h is height

Calculations:

Let the base of the triangle be b

According to the question, we have

Area = (1/2) × b × h

⇒ 1155 = (1/2) × b × 42

⇒ 1155 = b × 21

⇒ b = 1155/21

⇒ b = 55 cm

∴ The base of the triangle is 55 cm.
