Correct Answer - Option 2 : 25

Given:

The average age of 6 members of a family is  25

The age of the boy is 25

Formula used:

The average age of family = Total sum of ages / Number of members

Calculation:

The average age of 6 members = 25

⇒ The total age of all the members before marriage = 25 × 6 = 150

The total age of all the members after marriage = 150 + 25 = 175

Number of members after marriage = 7

⇒ The new average age after marriage = 175/7 = 25

∴ The new average age of the family is 25.

As the new member of the family has the same age as the average of all other members.

Hence the new average of all of them will remain same.
