The cost of 2 mobiles and 4 tablets is ₹ 70,000 and the cost of 2 tablets, 3 mobiles and 1 laptop is ₹ 90,000. Then find the cost of a mobile, a tablet and a laptop if the cost of a laptop is equal to the cost of mobile and tablet.

Correct Answer - Option 4 : ₹ 15,000, ₹ 10,000, ₹ 25,000

Given:

Cost of 2 mobiles and 4 tablets is 70,000

Cost of 2 tablets, 3 mobiles and 1 laptop is 90,000

Cost of 1 laptop = Cost of 1 mobile + Cost of a tablet

Calculation:

Let the cost of mobile be x

Cost of tablet be y

Cost of laptop = x + y

According to question,

2x + 4y = ₹ 70,000      ---(i)

3x + 2y + (x + y) = ₹90,000  

⇒ 4x + 3y = ₹90,000      ---(ii)

Solving eqn. (i) and (ii)

Cost of mobile (x) = ₹ 15,000

Cost of tablet (y) = ₹ 10,000

Cost of laptop (x + y) = ₹ 25,000

∴ The cost of a mobile, a tablet and a laptop is ₹ 15,000, ₹ 10,000 and ₹ 25,000 respectively.
