Correct Answer - Option 1 : 48 cm

Given

Area of square = (1/4)th area of rectangle

Formula used

Area of rectangle = length ×  breadth

Area of square = (side)2

Calculation

Area of rectangle = 36 × 16

⇒ 576 cm2

Area of square = (1/4) × 576

⇒ 144 cm2

Side of a square = √144

⇒ 12 cm

Perimeter of square = 4 × 12

⇒ 48 cm

∴ Perimeter of square is 48 cm
