Correct Answer - Option 3 : 36

Given:

If the length of each train is 100 meters and they cross each other in 10 seconds.

Formula used:

Speed = Distance/Time

Calculation:

According to the question,

Two trains are running in opposite direction

Total distance = 100 + 100 = 200 m

Time = 10 sec

Total speed = S + S = 2S

⇒ 2S = 200/10

⇒ S = 10 m/sec

Convert m/sec to km/hr

⇒ 10 × (18/5)

⇒ 36 km/hr

∴ The speed of each train is (in km/hour) 36.
