Given:

Amount of a piece of work = 6000

Time is taken by A alone = 6 days

Time is taken by B alone = 8 days

A, B and C work together = 3 days

Formula used: 

The efficiency = Total work/Time

Calculation:

Let total work be 24 (LCM of 6, 8 and 3)

⇒ The efficiency of A = 24/6 = 4

⇒ The efficiency of B = 24/8 = 3

⇒ The efficiency of (A + B + C) = 24/3 = 8

⇒ The efficiency of C = 8 - (4 + 3) = 1

⇒ The share of C = 6000 × 1/8

⇒ The share of C = 750

∴ The share of C is Rs 750.
