The number of HP laptops sold by store X is 40 more than the number of HP laptops sold by store Z. The average number of HP laptops sold by store X and store Y is 350. Store X alone sold 300 HP laptops. Store Y sold a total of 575 laptops. The ratio of the number of Dell laptops sold by store X and store Z is 2 : 3.

Given:

Total laptops sold in three stores are 3000.

The number of HP laptops sold by store X is 40 more than the number of HP laptops sold by store Z.

The average number of HP laptops sold by store X and store Y is 350.

Store X alone sold 300 HP laptops.

Store Y sold a total of 575 laptops.

The ratio of the number of Dell laptops sold by store X and store Z is 2 : 3.

Calculation:

From the above-given data, we can say that HP laptops sold by store X and store Y = (2 × 350) = 700

Store X alone sold 300 HP laptops

So, the number of HP laptops sold by store Y = (700 - 300) = 400

So, the number of Dell laptops sold by store Y = (575 - 400) = 175

Now, according to the question, the number of HP laptops sold by store X is 40 more than the number of HP laptops sold by store Z
