Correct Answer - Option 2 : C

Given:

Total distance = 260 km

Time taken to cover the distance = 10 hours

Speed of car = 30 km/h

Speed of bike = 20 km/h

Calculation:

Let time taken by car be x

30 × x + 20 × (10 – x) = 260

⇒ 30x + 200 – 20x = 260

⇒ 10x = 60

⇒ x = 6

Time taken by car to cover a part of the distance = 6 hours

Time taken by bike to cover rest of the distance = 10 – 6 = 4 hours

Distance covered by car = 6 × 30 = 180 km

C. 80 km less than 260 km

Distance = 260 – 80 = 180

C is correct.
