Correct Answer - Option 4 : 2.8%

Given:

Length – decreased by 10%

Breadth – decreased by 10%

Height – increased by 20%

Formula used:

Volume of cuboid = length × breadth × height

Percentage Less than = (Difference/High Value) × 100%

Calculations:

Volume of cuboid = length × breadth × height

Consider initial length = 100, breadth = 100 and height = 100

Initial Volume = 100 × 100 × 100

= 1000000

New Volume = 90 × 90 × 120 = 972000

New volume is decreases comparing with initial volume

Percentage decrease in volume = [(1000000 – 972000)/1000000] × 100% = 2.8%.

∴ Percentage decrease in volume = 2.8%.
