Correct Answer - Option 2 : square

Given:

Perimeter = 16 cm

Area = 16 cm2

Detailed solution:

If we assume the shape to be square

Perimeter = 4a

⇒ 4a = 16

⇒ a = 4 cm

Area = a2

⇒ 4 × 4

⇒ 16 cm2

∵ The square shape satisfy the condition of equal perimeter and area

∴ The shape of the polygon is square
