Correct Answer - Option 4 : West Bengal

Sundarbans are the mangrove forest.

  • Sundarbans are found on the Ganga-Brahmaputra delta on the coast of West Bengal and Bangladesh.
  • It is a vast tract of forest and saltwater swamp.
  • The area of the forest is approximately 3,860 square miles including land and water.

  • The forest is subjected to erosion and sediments deposition along the coast.
  • It is inhabited by Bengal tigers, spotted dears, wild boars, otters, river dolphins, water buffalo, pythons, storks, etc.
