  •  The scheme was launched in March 2010 on a pilot basis for the integrated development of 1000 villages each with more than 50% SC population.
  • The Plan aims to build an "Adarsh Gram" which has the adequate physical and institutional infrastructure, in which minimum needs of all sections of the society are fully met.
  •  The Government press release had mentioned five states Bihar, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Himachal Pradesh, and Assam for the initial implementation of the program.
  •  Another objective of the plan is the elimination of disparity between SCs and other communities in terms of common socio-economic indicators.
    • Such as literacy rate, the completion rate of elementary education, infant mortality rate/maternal mortality rate, and ownership of productive assets.
    • Every village gets Rs.10 lakh each year to ensure that the objectives of this scheme are met.

    • The scheme's target is to make a model village that is self-sufficient and meeting the minimum requirements of every public sector.
    • Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana is a rural growth program that was started by Indian Central government.
  • PM-KISAN
    • Under the scheme, the Centre transfers an amount of Rs 6,000 per year, in three equal installments, directly into the bank accounts of all landholding farmers irrespective of the size of their landholdings.
    • It was launched in February 2019.
    • It is a Central Sector Scheme with 100% funding from the Government of India.
    • It is being implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
