Formula used

If Tap₁ is a number of taps fills a vessel in Time₁ and Tap₂ is a number of taps fills a vessel in Time₂, then

Tap₁ × Time₁  = Tap₂  × Time₂

Calculation

Let x taps fills the same vessel in 24 minutes.

Tap₁ = 8, Time ₁ = 72 minutes

Tap₂ = x, Time_{2 =} 24 minutes

⇒ 8 × 72 = x × 24

⇒ (8 × 72)/24 = x
