Correct Answer - Option 2 : 20160

Given:

Total earning = 84960

A earns 70% of B’s

B earns 80% of C’s

Formula used:

X% of Y = (X × Y)/100

Calculation:

Let C’s earning is N.

So according to question

⇒ N + N × 0.8 + N × 0.8 × 0.7 = 84960

⇒ N (1 + 0.8 + 0.56) = 84960

⇒ N = 84960/2.36

⇒ N = 36000

So C’s earning is 36000.

Now, A’s earning = 36000 × 0.8 × 0.7

⇒ 20160

∴ A’s earning is Rs.20160.
