Correct Answer - Option 2 : Rs. 2660

Given:

A invested Rs. 6500 for 6 months

B invested Rs. 8400 for 5 months

C invested Rs. 10000 for 3 months

A is a working member he receives 5% of the Rs. 7400

Formula used:

Profit ratio = Investment × time

Calculation:

Profit will be equally distributed after 5% of the profit received by A

⇒ 95% of Rs. 7400

⇒ (95/100) × 7400 = Rs. 7030

Rs. 7030 will be equally distributed among A, B and C

Profit ratio of A, B and C

⇒ A : B : C = 6500 × 6 : 8400 × 5 : 10000 × 3

⇒ A : B : C = 13 : 14 : 10

⇒ 13x + 14x + 10x = 7030

⇒ 37x = 7030

⇒ x = Rs. 190

B's share of profit is

⇒ 14 × 190 = Rs. 2660

∴ B's share of profit is Rs. 2660
