Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 2 : 3.0 MHz

Concept:

  • The base clock speed for the 8085A microprocessor is 3 MHz.
  • It has a divide by two circuits which divides the externally connected clock by 2.
  • The frequency of Crystal connected is 6 MHz

The implication of 3MHz:

  • 3 MHz = 3 × 106 Hz, this implies the microprocessor can execute 3 million instruction in 1 second.
  • More is the clock frequency better is the processor.
  • Modern processers like intel i7 work on 4.5 GHz clock which implies it can execute 4.5 billion instructions per second.
