Correct Answer - Option 1 : 48000

Given:

Two persons A and B started a business with investments of Rs.24000 and Rs.28000 respectively. After 4 months C also joined them with certain investment. At the end of the year, total profit

was Rs. 19,950. C's share in profit was Rs.7600.

Calculation:

Total investment of A = Rs.24000 × 12

⇒ 288000

Total investment of B = Rs.28000 × 12

⇒ 336000

Let the investment of C be Rs. x

Total investment of C = Rs. x × 8

Ratio of profit (A + B + C) : C = 19950 : 7600

⇒ 21 : 8

According to question,

(288000 + 336000 + 8x)/8x = 21/8

⇒ x = 48000

∴ The investment of C in the business is Rs. 48000
