Resistance of three 4Ω resistors in series = 4 × 3 = 12Ω

Resistance of three 2Ω resistors in series = 2 × 3 = 6Ω

∴ Equivalent resistance of 12Ω, 6Ω and 4Ω in parallel.

1/Rp = 1/12 + 1/6 + 1/4 = 1 + 2 + 3/12 = 1/2 ⇒ Rp = 2Ω

Equivalent resistance of 5Ω, 2Ω and 6Ω in series.

R = (5 + 2 + 6) 0 = 13Ω
