π = (3.14159265359...) is an irrational number as it can not be expressed in the form of p/q, where p and q are integers and q ≠ 0

Rational Number: A rational number is a number that can be expressed in the form of p/q where p and q are integers and q ≠ 0.

Example:

6 = 6/1 =12/2

0.5 = 5/10 = ½

-0.675 = -675/1000 = 27/40

10/3 = 3.333…

Irrational Number: A irrational number is a number that cannot be expressed in the form of p/q where p and q are integers and q ≠ 0

Example:

π = (3.14159265359...)

Prime Number∶ A prime number is a positive integer greater than one, that can only be exactly divided by the positive integer 1 and itself without leaving a remainder.
