Correct Answer - Option 1 : Rs 66,000

Given

Percentages of monthly income spent on traveling = 13%

Percentages of monthly income spent on household expenses = 27%

Percentages of monthly income spent on medical expenses = 35%

Percentages of monthly income spent on insurance = 5%

The family has the remaining amount as cash = Rs. 13200

Formula used

Total expenditure = Sum of all expenses

Calculation

Let the monthly income of the family = Rs 100

Total expenditure of family = (13 + 27 + 35 + 5)% = 80%

Savings of family = (100 - 80)% of 100 = Rs 20

Now, applying proportion

⇒ 20: 100::13200: x

⇒ x = 100 × 13200/20 = Rs 66000

Monthly income of family is Rs 66,000.
