Correct Answer - Option 2 : 3/26

Given:

From a pack of 52 cards, a card is drawn at random.

Concepts used:

There are 26 red and 26 black cards.

12 face cards are there out of total 52 cards.

There are 13 cards each of spade, heart, club and diamonds.

Number cards are from 2 to 10.

There are 4 ace cards.

Calculation:

There are total of 12 face cards out of which half are red face cards.

⇒ Number of red and face card = 12/2 = 6

⇒ Probability that card drawn is a red and face card = 6/52 = 3/26

∴ Probability that the card drawn is a red and a face card is 3/26.
